Partnering with our Lethbridge College Culinary program we are having an international exchange here in our city with an Austrian Hospitality College.
Last year Lethbridge College Chef Mark and Chef Stephen and 4 of our Lethbridge students, Including one of Mocha's Chefs Kaitlyn Fisher, spent a month in Austria working in various Restaurants and Hotels and visiting culinary and cultural operations and landmarks in Austria and Italy. This year we are hosting the Austrian students, the students will all be working on a rotating basis at Local Restaurants.

Mocha will be hosting an Austrian student exchange. A student will be working and experiencing our local culture Tuesday to Thursday 2pm – 10pm throughout June 2012

The panel features three Prentice Research Affiliates from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Raphael Lencucha, Dr. Jean Harrowing and Sharon Yanicki. Their topic is "Global Health and the Quest for Justice".

Abstract: Growing social and health inequalities challenge current ideas about health. At the heart of the matter are issues of justice. Join us for a panel discussion about connecting the local and the global.

The Chefs will be advised of their challenge ingredients and the contest rules on Monday, March 19th.  During the event guests will vote on each course using a point system from 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest score and 10 being the highest score. Points will be awarded in three categories:  presentation, taste and creativity. The team with the most points at the end of the evening wins and gets the title of “Mocha’s Iron Chefs”.

I've Got Two Words for You is by a collection of artists in the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta's Art Program. The artists were given two words to inspire their piece; the intention is to depict each emotion in isolation while maintaining a necessary cohesiveness. The pieces are acrylic on canvas.

Historic Status for our unique city building
